Adults (18+) who are looking to gain skills in the areas of mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness.
DBT, or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, is an evidenced-based cognitive behavioral therapy that teaches skills to reduce emotional suffereing and improve relationships we have with ourselves and others. Led by Megan Farina, who is intensely trained in DBT, this 10 week group provides a space for adults (18+) to meet weekly to gain skills in four areas:
Mindfulness - awareness and acceptance of your experience without judgment, learning to live fully in the moment.
Distress Tolerance - building skills to navigate stressful situations and decrease reliance on destructive coping skills.
Emotion Regulation - gaining emotional resilience by learning to identify, understand and manage your feelings.
Interpersonal Effectiveness - learn to build healthy relationships, communicate needs and foster self respect.
