Both our in-person and self-study continuing education courses provide credits for a variety of licensure and accrediting bodies. The information below does not guarantee credit for any specific program. For details on continuing education approval for a particular course, refer to that course’s event page.
Continuing Education Accreditation
NY State Education Department State Board
Social Work: Helping Hands Psychotherapy, LCSW, PC is recognized by the New York State Education Department as an approved provider of continuing education by the State Boards of Social Work for licensed social workers #SW-0567.
Mental Health Practitioners: Helping Hands Psychotherapy, LCSW, PC is recognized by the New York State Education Department as an approved provider of continuing education by the State Boards of Mental Health Practitioners for licensed mental health counselors #MHC-0202.
Psychologists: Helping Hands Psychotherapy, LCSW, PC is recognized by the New York State Education Department as an approved provider of continuing education for Psychology for licensed psychologists #PSY-0074.
Creative Arts Therapists: Helping Hands Psychotherapy, LCSW, PC is recognized by the New York State Education Department as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed creative arts therapists #CAT-0126.
Marriage and Family Therapists: Helping Hands Psychotherapy, LCSW, PC is recognized by the New York State Education Department as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed marriage and family therapists #MFT-0141.
NY State OASAS
HHP is also certified as an OASAS Education and Training Provider # 1354. CASAC approval for individual content when indicated only.
ASWB
Helping Hands Psychotherapy, LCSW, PC., Provider #1944 (formerly Helping Hands Psychotherapy), is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit.
ACE provider approval period: 04/29/2024 – 04/29/2028.
NBCC
Helping Hands Psychotherapy, LCSW, P.C. has been approved by NBCC as an Approved
Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7887. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are
clearly identified. Helping Hands Psychotherapy, LCSW, P.C. is solely responsible for all aspects
of the programs.
Licensing requirements vary by state and it is your sole responsibility to ensure that courses taken will fulfill the requirements for your licensing obligations.
