Studies indicate that peer‑group support for parents provides emotional backup and informational resources that act as a buffer against parenting stress.

What can I expect from this group?

Participants will :

  • Learn to recognize and manage the symptoms of perinatal mood & anxiety disorders.

  • Addresses the various transitions that occur during the parenting years, including changes in identity, roles, and expectations.

  • Explore strategies for navigating these transitions- topics such as maternal self-care, sleep hygiene, managing stress, balancing work and family, and fostering positive infant-parent relationships.

  • Define your identity beyond motherhood.

  • Be guided through exercises and discussions that focus on practical skills, cultivate a sense of calm amidst the demands of motherhood, growing families, and enhance your feelings of confidence.

  • Address the impact of infants and toddlers on the growing family. Learn tools to nurture and strengthen the couple's bond.

  • Create a sense of community & work together to support each other as new parents.

  • This group recognizes and respects diverse cultural backgrounds, addressing the unique experiences and challenges faced by mothers from various cultural contexts.
