Dr. Ashley J. Davis Ford-Graham identifies as a Black Woman Professional Counselor. She has a Masters Degree in Professional Studies from St. John’s University as well as a Masters in Forensic Mental Health Counseling from John Jay College of Criminal Justice (CUNY). She is Licensed in NYS as a Mental Health Counselor with Diagnostic Privilege (LMHC-D) and in New Jersey as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Additionally, she is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and holds a certification as a Perinatal Mental Health Counselor (PMH-C). She earned her Doctorate degree in Mental Health Counseling from Pace University.
Dr. Ashley is a warm, empathetic and “down-to-earth” clinician who works to provide her clients with an experience that leaves them feeling understood, validated, seen and challenged. Her clinical approach is person-centered, prioritizing meeting clients where they are and helping clients to find their own strengths. Dr. Ashley enjoys supporting clients to use their growing understanding of themselves to gain awareness of the connections between their emotions, thoughts, physical experiences, and behaviors. With this awareness comes the ability and strength to initiate the changes they would like to see in their own lives.
Dr. Ashley is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused-CBT (TF-CBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). She has experience as an intake specialist, clinical supervisor and therapist working with a host of different clientele with a variety of mental health challenges.
Dr. Ashley is passionate about Black Women’s Wellness and Maternal Mental Health, Women’s Health and Wellness, Perinatal/Reproductive Health, and Social Justice Advocacy.
Dr. Ashley is a proud advocate for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) Awareness and is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
