I’m Carolyn Crocker and I’m a graduate of Manhattan College, with a degree in Mental Health Counseling. I am a NYS Mental Health Counseling permit holder.
I have experience working with adolescents and families of diverse backgrounds, both in academic and mental health settings. This was a great learning experience and allowed me to connect with individuals on a personal and emotional level. During my experience, I facilitated groups after school, where individuals were invited to a safe space to discuss topics such as academics, family, and any personal problems they were going through. I have provided individual and group psychotherapy during my internship at Helping Hands Psychotherapy and led support groups through the Postpartum Resource Center of New York.
I love to read, and often use bibliotherapy in my work- using books, poetry and readings in my sessions to promote healing and personal growth. Like a well-chosen book that speaks to your soul, therapy can be a transformative journey. Let's explore your narrative, turning life's pages together. Reach out for a bibliotherapy-inspired conversation.
