About the event

This course will cover the differential diagnosis of OCD from related and frequently comorbid disorders (e.g., GAD and PTSD) as well as cognitive-behavioral case conceptualization and intervention for OCD across the lifespan. We will discuss how these interventions may need be modified to account for the presence of comorbid conditions. There will also be a brief overview of managing family accommodation behaviors for individuals with OCD.


Course Objectives:

By the end of this presentation, participants will be able to:

  1. Differentiate OCD Cycles from Anxiety and Trauma Reactions

  2. Recognize the distinguishing features of OCD cycles compared to anxiety and trauma responses.

  3. Help Clients Identify and Break OCD Cycles
