Dr. Wood is an Associate Professor and corrdinator of the counseling and drama therapy program at Lesley University. She specializes in trauma, recovery processes, eating disorders, and using drama therapy and embodied approaches in working with clients

This course is intended to provide a basic overview of the Internal Family Systems Model and core processes of drama therapy and techniques and integration of the two in clinical mental health practice for groups and individuals through didactic, experiential, reading, and demonstration. 

This Course is offered on 4 days, October 8th and 9th and December 3rd and 4th, from 8:30 am - 6:00 pm.

Objectives: 

• Learn a basic overview of the Internal Family Systems Model
• Understand the basic core process for drama therapy  
• Integrate Internal Family Systems Theory and Drama therapy for group and individual work 
• Identify how to use role reversal, doubling, and dramatic reality in embodied work

This course includes 45 contact hours and meets the requirements set forth by the North American Drama Therapy Association towards the alternative training track for becoming a Registered Drama Therapist.
