About the event
This advanced clinical training explores the thoughtful integration of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) for clients in the perinatal period. Designed for clinicians who already have foundational knowledge of ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, this course focuses on treatment planning, clinical discernment, readiness assessment, and practical application of combining these modalities within trauma-informed care. Participants will examine how ketamine may soften defenses, widen emotional access, and support nervous system flexibility, while EMDR offers structure, sequencing, and a framework for trauma resolution. Special attention will be given to the unique needs of the perinatal population, including attachment trauma, birth trauma, identity shifts, nervous system dysregulation, reproductive trauma, and the realities of motherhood that impact readiness and integration. The training will review how clinicians can conceptualize treatment through EMDR’s eight phases while incorporating KAP as a catalyst rather than a replacement for trauma processing.
