About the event
Thursday, Sep 10th, 2026 10AM-5:00PM EST - PSI Approved Advanced Training
Course Description:
This is a full-day, virtual training designed for mental health professionals, birth
workers, and perinatal care providers. Held virtually on Sep 10th, 2026.
This advanced 6-hour training explores evidence-informed approaches to addressing complex perinatal mental health concerns. Participants will examine the use of Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) in the treatment of postpartum mental health challenges, somatic and mindfulness-based interventions that support parent-infant bonding and parental efficacy, and Embodied Grief Theory as a framework for understanding reproductive loss.
Drawing from trauma, attachment, developmental, and perinatal mental health research, participants will learn practical strategies to assess and support postpartum clients experiencing mood and anxiety disorders, attachment disruptions, trauma, and reproductive grief. Ethical considerations, clinical decision-making, and trauma-informed, culturally responsive interventions will be emphasized throughout the training.
