In this presentation, we will explore the intricacies of body image and eating disorder recovery while navigating the modern cultural surge of weight loss medications like GLP1s in the year 2026. Set against the backdrop of post-pandemic life, this workshop examines how the widespread medicalization of weight loss impacts client psyche, recovery milestones, and therapeutic alliances. Clinicians will learn to identify the intersections of diet culture, pharmaceutical marketing, and weight stigma to better support clients striving for body neutrality and sustainable recovery.
