In this training:

1. Participants will take away a foundational understanding on 3 pathways of adoption: foster care, private domestic adoption and international adoption and how to help their client choose a specific path and agency/attorney that best fits their needs.

 2. Participants will learn assessment tools in order to guide a client in choosing what/if any path to parenting, and specifically adoption might be right for them.

 3. Participants will understand clinical themes that relate to adoption and how to address them with clients.

 4. Participants will be familiar with common challenges that present post-adoption and how to provide support and identify resources.

This course includes 2  contact hours.
