Participants will :

  • Identify connections between emotional states, bodily experiences, and the transition to parenthood.

  • Utilize mindfulness and grounding techniques to manage stress, anxiety, and dysphoria during pregnancy or early parenting.

  • Explore and express identity and family roles through art and creative processes.

  • Use creativity and art to enhance psychological flexibility

  • Develop communication and co-parenting strategies that promote secure attachment and mutual support.

  • Identify and strengthen supportive community and family resources, including chosen family networks.

  • Increase awareness of how cultural, systemic, and social factors impact LGBTQIA+ families.

  • Build self-compassion and resilience in navigating societal stigma and heteronormative expectations.
