1) Framing the Decision to Report Suspected Child Maltreatment - April 7, 12 pm - 1 pm EST
This training will help you:
- Apply a framework to guide the process of working with clients before making a report.
2) Working with Clients Before Making a Report to CPS - April 14, 12 pm - 1 pm EST
This workshop will explore informed consent practices with different client populations, and especially in light of concerns for racial and social justice in the child welfare system.
This training will help you:
- Apply a framework to guide the process of working with clients before making a report.
- Identify mitigating risks
3) Supporting Clients AFTER Making a Report to CPS - April 28, 12 pm - 1 pm EST
Supporting practice with clients after making a report, and how to work with child protective services, especially in light of concerns for racial and social justice in the child welfare system.
This training will help you:
- Apply a framework to guide the process of working with clients after making a report.
- Demonstrate skills at collaborating with child protective services for the benefit of clients.
- Demonstrate ways to advocate for improved child protective services systems.
4) Towards a Better System of Policies to Support Families in Crisis - May 5, 12 pm - 1 pm EST
This session will explore ideas for revolutionizing the child protective services system to be responsive to the needs of families, and relating the valuable experience of mental & behavioral health professionals.
This training will help you:Â
- Identify alternatives to the current CPS system
- Demonstrate ways to advocate for improved child protective services systems.
