angelina ubriaco, ba, msw intern

I’m Angelina Ubriaco, a Master of Social Work student at Louisiana State University in my final year of training.  I am in my second year of internship at HHP and working  to further develop my clinical skills. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Queens College.

During my first internship here at HHP, I had the opportunity to learn about perinatal mental health and actively participated in community events aimed at raising awareness about Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs), pregnancy and infant loss, and maternal mental health.  I worked with the Postpartum Resource Center of New York to run support groups and learn about NYS resources.  These experiences deepened my understanding of the unique challenges faced by mothers and families during these crucial periods.

As a crisis counselor, I’ve also worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds facing a range of mental health challenges, helping them reduce distress and navigate difficult times.

Now in my second year of internship, I look forward to continuing to apply and expand the skills I’ve gained through my work and academic experiences. I am deeply passionate about becoming a social worker and am dedicated to helping those struggling with mental health concerns. My goal is to support and uplift individuals on their wellness journeys, empowering them to live fulfilling lives and reach their full potential. It’s okay to not be okay, and I’m here to help you!

Angelina will continue as an MSW intern at HHP as she expands her social work skills and knowledge until she graduates in May 2025.
