Michele Morelli, M.S.Ed., CRC, MHC
I am a Mental Health Counselor on a limited permit and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. I earned my Master of Science in Education degree in Rehabilitation Counseling in Mental Health from Hofstra University.
As a clinician, I believe that therapy is not a “one size fits all” and I am able to show that through my individualized, collaborative, and strength-based approach. By understanding you as an individual, I am able to integrate a variety of different therapeutic modalities, such as Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral, Mindfulness & Motivational Interviewing, along with others. My experiences have led me to engage with diverse populations including, but not limited to, adults, couples, adolescents, Veterans, and the LGBTQ+ community. I have worked in residential treatment settings and private practices treating individuals facing a range of issues related to trauma, relationships, reproductive/perinatal/parenting matters, grief, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, addiction, mood disorders, life transitions, and learning to set healthy boundaries.
I am passionate about empathically supporting people as we navigate through difficult and complex moments, and enjoy witnessing the growth that comes along with this journey.
If you choose to work with me, I will meet you where you are at while also challenging and motivating you. You will learn to reflect. You will gain a better understanding of your thoughts and emotions, what your wants and needs are, how to navigate the “whys,” and reach that fulfilling quality of life that you are looking for.
If you are on the fence about therapy, I say give it a try because you never know what you’ll learn about yourself and the empowerment that can come with it. Remember, growth is uncomfortable but in a supportive and meaningful space it can take us to levels we never thought possible. Begin your therapy journey and let me help you help yourself!
