I have a Masters Degree in Social Work from Adelphi University. As a bilingual (English/Spanish) licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in NYS I have many years of experience working in mental health settings, including a behavioral health hospital, and an out-patient mental health clinic. I have experience in crisis intervention, completing psychiatric evaluations, and in individual and couples therapy. I have also worked in the public school system. My work there included individual and group work, facilitating referrals to the committee of special education and supporting families through difficult times. I have been in private practice since 2009. My work focuses on helping my clients improve the quality of their lives by guiding them through the process of understanding how our relationships are constantly teaching us something and challenging us in one way or another.

 

Our work together is about helping you to better understand the dynamics in your interpersonal relationships and your role in it. As you connect the dots and make changes, the quality of your life will improve. With my guidance, you find your courage and increase your self-awareness. I start where you are ready to start, and I support you through the road that takes you towards emotional freedom. I provide a nonjudgmental environment and encourage your self-acceptance so that you can eliminate interpersonal conflicts, and reduce feelings of worry, fear, or sadness. My passion is to facilitate emotional growth, teach and write, and my service is a privilege that I am grateful for.
