Ashley Rastello, LCSW
I received my Masters in Social Work with a focus in Advanced Clinical Practice with Individuals, Families, and Groups from Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work. Currently, I am licensed to practice in NYS as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have experience working in OASAS/OMH clinics, foster care and public school/alternative high school settings. I utilize various client centered interventions within a multi-theoretical and strength-based approach. The different motivational techniques and modalities I use ensure each client’s greatest success based on their individual struggles. Through weekly individual and/or group therapy I incorporate mindfulness and cognitive based therapies (CBT) with all ages, to develop social skills, coping skills, and build one’s emotional intelligence.
My passion lies in the work I do with clients to discover their authentic selves. I am a Holistic Psychotherapist, focusing on the relationship between mind, body, spirit. My work is to meet my clients where they are on their journey to a more meaningful & mindful life. This is achieved by encouraging all to fall into alignment with themselves in order to manifest an attitude of gratitude. My treatment approach is to help clients gain awareness of the connections between their emotions, thoughts, physical experiences, and spiritual understandings. Each of these components work together in harmony to support typical daily function. This deeper understanding of the whole self can improve one’s self-awareness, self-esteem, and self-acceptance. It is my belief that the world needs more of who we were all meant to be. My goal is to help individuals accept the present moment and offer support to explore what is going on within. Once this acceptance is achieved, individuals may be able to let go of their own resistance, which can further allow them to relax and release any fears.
Everyone’s growth looks different, but we all have the seed within to start somewhere. “Fear is the chasm between where you are now and where you want to be. Courage is the bridge that will help you cross it.” Meet me here in vulnerability and together, we will find the bridge.
